Central Florida Great Dane Rescue
 We work with other reputable Great Dane Rescue groups in Florida to help adopt Great Danes into loving, approved homes. We place special emphasis on education and spay/neuter. In the past 5 years, we've taken more than 350 Danes into our rescue. Most of these Danes were under 2 years of age, and were given up because their owners couldn't deal with them. Danes are couch potatoes in later years, but can be horrible handfuls as pups. Please do serious research before getting a Great Dane. If you do buy a pup, make sure to only deal with a reputable breeder.
To help ensure that each Dane is matched with the most suitable home, all Danes live with one of our rescue volunteers for a minimum of two weeks for evaluation. We prefer to only adopt Danes within Florida, but will consider each request on a case by case basis. For more information, see our page on Out of area/state adoptions. We do not have a shelter; all of our Danes reside in our home or in one of our many foster homes throughout the state. Appointments can be made to visit with the Danes (at their foster home) upon approval of a completed application. All of our Danes are Vet checked, current on vaccinations, de-wormed, on heart worm preventive, micro chipped and spayed or neutered prior to being placed. We do our best to make sure that the Danes are in good health prior to going to their new home. |
