Attorney Mission Statement

I decided to practice immigration law because my family has a rich history in international and immigration matters. My father was a decorated Master Chief in the US Navy for almost twenty years and my mother has been a migrant social worker since I was in Middle School. Through them I was exposed to a great deal of different people, cultures, and values. In addition, my mother would take me to meet undocumented families that she assisted and on a few occasions I would go to the actual fields and work alongside the migrant workers. I have seen firsthand the harsh reality these people must endure just to survive and I was always encouraged by my parents to help out those less fortunate and never to judge people just because they are different.

Hands down my favorite aspect of immigration is when my clients become US citizens. Especially the very complex cases where the client was in removal or had some type of issue that prevented them from applying for citizenship the conventional way. Their reactions to the news that they have passed and been approved by USCIS is priceless! Also, the fact that I get to help bring deserving people to this country and add to the diversity of our nation is a source of great pride that I truly cherish.
